Make a difference to a Bear needing your love‼️

‘Have a heart, lend a hand, make a difference’ ❤️

With over 120 rescued bears in The Cambodia Bear Sanctuary, it’s the world’s largest sanctuary for sun bears.

There are an incredible team of bear experts in Cambodia, possibly the most experienced worldwide in bear cub and sun bear care & husbandry. The team are positively changing the attitudes of Cambodians towards bears and other wildlife, providing hopes for a brighter future for bears. 🙌🏼

The bears rescued have come from horrific conditions, one of the worse being bear bile farming. It may sometimes appear that the fight to end bear bile farming is a never-ending battle with little progress being made.  The rescued bears at the Cambodia bear sanctuary live a life of freedom which is a far cry from their life once spent in a tiny cage.   Their ability to recover from the physical & mental trauma is remarkable, each bear gains confidence every day and they live their life the way they should.  In freedom 🐻

All the bears get along so well and love each other 😍

In October 2019 this gorgeous tiny cub was rescued, unfortunately she was found with a missing paw; due to a snare injury which required emergency surgery.

When she arrived she was very stressed and fearful – it took months of love and care from cub experts and volunteers to show her that she can live a life of happiness, with no fear.

The amazing team of vets were able to save part of her paw pad, this provides a protective surface for her amputated paw.

She is getting better with every day, and is becoming more and more confident, her beautiful personality is starting to shine through. ✨

Volunteers work at this wonderful sanctuary just outside of Cambodia’s capital city, Phnom Penh and have a once in a life time opportunity to make a difference to these beautiful bears as well as experience rural Cambodian life.🌍

Take this opportunity to work up close with more than 200 Sun and Moon bears that have been rescued from many situations – from the hands of poachers, the black market, the horrific bile farm industry and from those who use them for entertainment or keep them as exotic pets.

A truly life changing experience, working on wildlife and community volunteering projects in Africa over 15 years ago, convinced Gemma Whitehouse to give up her job as a Marketing Manager for an international organisation and use her skills and expertise to set up a company that would offer others the same amazing opportunities with a service second to none - thus Amanzi Travel was born.
